Stellar Blade: Complete Edition is slated for a 2026 release on the Nintendo Switch 2, developer Shift Up has confirmed. The port will include all content added since the game's initial launch on PlayStation in 2024, encompassing two DLCs, additional outfits, and seasonal content.

DongKi Lee, CTO at Shift Up, detailed the development process for bringing the action-adventure title to Nintendo's next-generation hardware. "We wanted to ensure the player can play exactly how they want," Lee stated, emphasizing the team's commitment to preserving the game's aesthetic and overall experience.

Fans of the PlayStation version will find the haptic feedback system notably replicated. Lee explained that the team converted the exact data used for the PS5's DualSense controller to fit the Switch 2's HD Rumble functionality, aiming to provide an authentic gameplay sensation. The Switch 2 version will also feature touchscreen support, gyro controls, and mouse control options.

Bringing Stellar Blade to the Switch 2 required significant effort in memory optimization and internal logic adjustments to suit the console's architecture. Lee indicated that this work has been beneficial for the studio's future endeavors in multi-platform development. While future titles' platform exclusivity remains unconfirmed, the experience gained from porting Stellar Blade to both PC and now Switch 2 has familiarized the team with maintaining the game's visual fidelity across different systems.

Lee also shared his personal gaming inspirations, citing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as a favorite that influenced his desire to work on console games. The exact contents of the Switch 2 version are largely identical to its PS5 and PC counterparts, though Lee hinted at potential unrevealed surprises for the Nintendo release.
