AdHoc Studio has announced that its superhero workplace comedy-drama, Dispatch, will soon be available in a physical edition for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The game, which is nearing its first anniversary, is also set to receive a physical release of its original soundtrack.
The physical game editions, published in partnership with PM Studios, will include a Standard Deluxe Edition for $50 and a Steelbook Deluxe Edition for $60. The Standard Deluxe Edition comes with the full game on disc or cartridge, all downloadable content, a 100-page digital artbook, four digital comics, a printed booklet titled "SDN’s Guide to Dispatching," a digital download code for the original soundtrack, and a double-sided poster featuring Mecha Man. The Steelbook Deluxe Edition includes all the contents of the standard edition, plus a steelbook case with custom box art developed in-house at AdHoc Studio. The studio noted that the steelbook version may have a slightly later release due to manufacturing schedules. Both editions will be widely available at major retailers. IMAGE4
Dispatch's soundtrack, composed by Andrew Arcadi and Skyler Barto, is also receiving a physical release from Lost in Cult Records. The complete soundtrack will be available in two vinyl editions: the Prime Edition, featuring three records pressed on classic black vinyl, and the Astral Edition, which offers the same three records pressed in colors inspired by key characters: Mecha Man blue, Invisigal translucent purple, and Blonde Blazer's red-and-yellow scheme. The Astral Edition of the vinyl soundtrack will include a certificate of authenticity signed by composer Andrew Arcadi for the first 500 orders placed through Lost in Cult's website. Additionally, a bundle deal allows purchasers to buy the Dispatch Standard Deluxe Edition game along with their choice of a vinyl soundtrack edition, offering a 10% discount on the combined purchase. Dispatch, a critical and commercial success despite being overlooked during awards season, is a narrative-driven adventure game. It follows Robert Robertson III, a former superhero known as Mecha Man, who takes a job as a dispatcher at the Superhero Dispatch Network. There, he manages a team composed of former supervillains. The studio has also hinted that a sequel may be in development.
