Meccha Chameleon, the viral hide-and-seek game developed by lemorion_1224, has launched on Nintendo Switch today, September 9, 2026. The surprise release was confirmed during today's Nintendo Direct presentation. Players can now download and experience the unique multiplayer title on Nintendo's latest console.

Nintendo described Meccha Chameleon as a competitive multiplayer game that merges drawing with hide-and-seek elements. In the game, players must use colors and patterns to paint themselves and blend into their surroundings, whether it be walls, furniture, or decorative items. The objective is to remain hidden from the opposing 'It' team who are tasked with finding the concealed players. The game supports online play for up to 12 players, emphasizing creativity and quick thinking in each match.

It remains unclear at this time whether Meccha Chameleon will be released on other platforms, such as PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S.

This release follows a busy period for Nintendo, who also held a dedicated Zelda Direct earlier in the week. Further details on all announcements from both Direct presentations are available.
