Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is set to release on October 14 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A Nintendo Switch 2 version will follow shortly after.

The sequel to the 2023 hit expands on the original's fast-paced, boomer-shooter gameplay. Players will be able to choose between two protagonists: Ultramarine Malum Caedo, returning from the first game, or the new character Battle Sister Nyra Veyrath. The primary antagonists will be the daemonic demigod Vashtorr and a variety of other enemies.

A notable addition to Boltgun 2 is a musical cameo by composer Mick Gordon, known for his work on Doom and Wolfenstein. Gordon's original composition will be featured during the game's final boss encounter. The announcement highlights this collaboration as a significant draw for players anticipating the game's release.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is expected to retain the high difficulty and visceral combat of its predecessor, where players systematically dismember their foes. The original game was noted for its challenging gameplay, and the sequel aims to deliver a similar experience.
