Trailmark Games has announced that Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest, a turn-based RPG adapted from the acclaimed young adult novel series, will be released on October 23. The developer revealed the date in a new trailer posted to its official YouTube channel.

Clans of the Forest marks the first video game set in the Warrior Cats universe. The game will feature an original story with both new and familiar characters. Players will have the ability to customize their own cat and select from four distinct clans, each offering a unique campaign. The gameplay mechanics include turn-based combat, hunting, and crafting. In addition to the main story, players can engage in a boss-rush Defender mode and an asynchronous multiplayer Skirmish mode.

The Warrior Cats series was created by Victoria Holmes and first published by HarperCollins in 2003. The books are written by multiple authors under the pseudonym Erin Hunter. The series has since expanded to include over fifty mainline books and numerous spin-offs. A separate animated series based on the books, produced by Coolabi Group and Tencent Video, is slated for release in 2028, with Disney handling distribution.

Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest is scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
