Grand Theft Auto 6 is slated for release on November 19, 2026. This date was confirmed last November, marking the second delay for the highly anticipated title, which was initially planned for a 2025 launch before being pushed to May 2026 and subsequently to its current date.
Release Time Details
Rockstar Games has stated that GTA 6 will launch at midnight local time across various regions worldwide. This means most players will be able to begin at 12:00 AM on Thursday, November 19, 2026, within their respective time zones. However, for players in the United States, the release will be staggered based on Eastern Standard Time. Those on the West Coast can expect to start playing at 9:00 PM PST on Wednesday, November 18, 2026.
Due to these staggered regional releases, some players will have access to the game hours before others. Gamers in New Zealand are expected to be the first to experience the launch as they reach midnight on November 19.
Preparing for Launch
To ensure players can start as soon as possible, pre-ordering the game is recommended. Both digital and physical editions will allow for preloading ahead of the release day. The physical version will be available starting November 12, 2026. Preload for the digital version is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, November 10, 2026.
GTA 6 will be available in two editions: the Standard Edition and the Ultimate Edition. The Standard Edition is priced at $79.99 in the US, £69.99 in the UK, and €79.99 in Europe. The Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 in the US, £89.99 in the UK, and €99.99 in Europe. The Ultimate Edition includes extra vehicles, weapons, and businesses, with Rockstar Games indicating that these extras will be integrated throughout the story of protagonists Jason and Lucia.
