Footage that appears to be from a remake of the original Persona game has surfaced online. The clip, tentatively subtitled "Be Your True Mind," was shared on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit and uploaded to the file-sharing site Gofile under a filename that translates to "Megami Ibunroku Persona Remake." The leaked video showcases nearly two minutes of gameplay.
The footage suggests a significant visual overhaul, with menus and combat sequences that bear a strong resemblance to more recent Atlus titles such as Persona 5 and Persona 3 Reload. It also includes a brief social link cutscene rendered in a distinct, graphic novel-esque art style. Fans have noted several details that lend credence to the leak's authenticity, including what seems to be Unreal Engine debug text visible during battles, a new arrangement of the original PlayStation game's "Pandora" theme, and the protagonist being referred to as "Boy With Earring," a designation used in Persona 2: Eternal Punishment.
Atlus has not officially announced a Persona 1 remake, and the authenticity of the leaked footage remains unverified. This report should be treated with the standard caveats applied to unconfirmed leaks.
