Footage that appears to be from a remake of the original Persona game has surfaced online, accompanied by claims of its authenticity. The video was initially uploaded to the file-sharing site Gofile on October 31st and subsequently shared to the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit.

If legitimate, the leaked content aligns stylistically with the contemporary Persona aesthetic, particularly the visual design introduced in Persona 5 and carried through to recent remakes of Persona 3 and Persona 4. The short, less than two-minute clip depicts the game's protagonist navigating a school at night before engaging in a turn-based battle.

The prominent use of purple in the footage is noted as consistent with the series' 25th-anniversary artwork. Curiously, Persona 2's protagonist is visible during a battle sequence, prompting speculation about a potential combination of the two games, a simultaneous development of both remakes, or the use of placeholder assets.

Hints of remakes for Persona 1 and Persona 2 have been suggested in the past. In an interview, series producer Kazuhisa Wada indicated that "Persona 1 and 2 are something we’ll probably eventually do too." While the leaked gameplay appears plausible and aligns with previous reports of Atlus's leak-prone history, the footage should be viewed with a degree of caution until official confirmation.
